What is Govindam Deshi Ghee made from?

Makkhan (white butter) from cow milk, slow-cooked in a kadhai. The label lists one ingredient: 100% pure cow milk fat.

Which sizes can I buy?

Four tins: 2 L, 5 L, 5 kg and 15 kg.

How do I order?

Message us on WhatsApp at +91 86008 60002 with the tin size, how many you need and your city. You can also call that number. Sweet shops, caterers and dealers can use the bulk enquiry form.

How much does it cost?

Ghee prices move with milk prices, so we quote the current price when you message us. Tell us the tin size and quantity and we'll reply with the price.

Do you deliver to my area?

Send your city or PIN code on WhatsApp and we'll tell you whether we deliver there and how.

How long does it last?

Best before 12 months from the packing date printed on the tin.

How should I store it?

Keep it in a dry place away from sunlight, with the lid tightly closed. Don't refrigerate it.

Why has my ghee gone grainy or solid?

Ghee sets into small grains as it cools, more so in winter. That's normal. It turns clear again when you warm it.

Why is the tin slightly lighter after a while?

Ghee can lose a little moisture depending on the weather. The label notes this too.

Is it vegetarian?

Yes. The tin carries the green vegetarian mark.

Do you supply sweet shops, caterers and dealers?

Yes. Tell us about your business and monthly quantity on the bulk orders page and we'll call you back.

Is Govindam licensed by FSSAI?

Yes. FSSAI licence number 13324001000832.
